Dr. Yiming “Jimmy” Zhang, DDS
Dr. Yiming “Jimmy” Zhang has called Cary home for almost 25 years. He attended Green Hope High School before graduating from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. He stayed in Chapel Hill to earn his DDS from the UNC School of Dentistry and practiced in Raleigh before joining New Waverly Place Dentistry. After over two decades of excellent care, Dr. Cynthia Tyson entrusted her practice to Dr. Zhang in the summer of 2022.
Dr. Zhang’s passion for dentistry stems from a strong desire to care for others and a love for working with his hands, which started in childhood through years of playing electric guitar and clarinet as well as pencil sketch art classes. Dr. Zhang currently resides in Brier Creek with his wife Ellie and two cats, Roux and Puppy. When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Zhang enjoys cooking (ask him about meal prepping!), photography, and music.
In addition to English, he is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
